Who is this community for?
Modern people aren't the only ones who have faced big life challenges. Our ancestors faced them too, the only difference was, they had a village to help them. In those days, problems were solved by sitting in a circle.
In this setting, someone could share everything that was hard about their day and receive the listening ear of their tribe. Others who had gone before them were there to listen, give guidance, empathy and meaningful support. People worked as a team, rather than as individuals, going it alone.
The Power of a Circle is an immersive experience. Every week, we spend an hour with our tribe, immersed in the wisdom of nature. We take a look at the challenges of life with the intent of lending help and wisdom so that our tribe can achieve a natural state of being, a life of purpose and flow.
We strive to unlock our inner potential that comes through being aligned with our natural self. Think of it as a YouTube channel but instead of you lying in bed watching your phone, you’ll be the one on an awesome adventure in the natural world with your tribe, learning a new, exciting way to live life. To be your natural self.
Why I Created This
Social Disconnect-
I started this mentoring group because of a giant social void that I see in our world. Being a chronic pain coach has shown me the depths of isolation that many people face. Despite a world wide web, we are more cut off from each other than any time in human history. I've created the Power of a Circle as an answer to this problem. To be a place of unity, where ideas, concepts and experience can be freely shared with acceptance and openness.
Nourishment Disconnect-
Once while mentoring a woman, I shared that I received profound fulfillment and incredible health benefits from hunting and foraging wild food. I was surprised when she responded with shock and told me that she didn't know that it was safe to eat wild plants and animals. She was afraid that wild food might give her a disease. I was floored, and also inspired! I knew then that I had to teach others about the gifts that nature abundantly provides for us.
Spiritual Disconnect-
Pain has a way of teaching you things and back in 2018, I got a visit from "the pain teacher." During this experience, I learned to nourish myself and heal my gut with natural foods. However I quickly learned that even the perfect diet wouldn't substitute for the spiritual disconnect that was causing my health problems. I began to incorporate time for spiritual disciplines in my life. This opened the door to discovering an abundance of ancient spiritual practices that healed me from the inside.
Nourishment isn't just physical. True nourishment starts with nourishing our spirit.
Join a brotherhood
Back in the day, I began my college experience as a freshman who was anxious, depressed and incredibly insecure. This led me to partying, where I let the alcohol be my shield of artificial confidence. Obviously, this led to lots of hangovers and a fall back to reality. The one upside was experiencing the comradery that develops during wild nights with the boys. This male bonding was powerful for a few short years, but slowly faded because it lacked real depth. Maybe you've experienced this too.
This experience has inspired me to create something that goes beyond superficial parties, social popularity or artificially-induced confidence. I want to create a place for something ancient to unfold. A place where men can feel the authentic confidence that comes with being surrounded by people who have your back. I take great inspiration from the warriors of the past. Men are meant to ride into adventure together, go on epic quests and hunt and provide for the woman they love.
Life is intense these days, and it feels nearly impossible to achieve our life purpose without some help. In reality, it is impossible. We were never meant to face the challenges of life without the presence of other wise, virtuous men who can lend us strength and confidence.
It's time to learn, grow, and find our power and purpose. Together!
